Description

The initiative aims at creating an expert CZ-NOR network focused on research of CZ-NOR relations during WWII. These will be investigated and presented via several activities, in the form of scholarly meetings, exhibitions and publication both in the CR and Norway.

Cooperation established between CZ and NOR research institutions may lead to wider project-based cooperation in the future. Further benefit of the initiative is dissemination of new knowledge on CZ-NOR relations.

Summary of the results

Both partners undertook numerous mutual meetings, first online and on digital platforms (due to Covid), then in person in Praha and Trondheim and Narvik. 3 working meetings and 2 workshops of the joint team of Czech and Norwegian historians were held. Several joint outputs have been produced, e.g. an English-language panel exhibition at the War Museum in Narvik and at the central building of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. In addition, the team jointly produced a publication in English (translated to Czech) dedicated to the Czech and Norwegian public. Despite the serious disruption of the work schedule due to the pandemic, all partners completed the planned tasks. The interpersonal cooperation within the team itself was excellent.
