Description
The main aim of this initiative is to get inspiration, exchange creative approaches and discuss mutual innovative ideas via a study trip to Norway. The applicant is going to meet Norwegian artists and get new contacts and impulses for potential future cooperation in organizing their own land-art and site-specific festival in Ralsko. Possibly, there can be established a further joint cooperation and a project proposal in the CZ-Culture programme.
Summary of the results
Staff of the Ralsko Geopark met the founder of the international art platform K-LAB and her collaborators, to get acquainted with the artists and their work, to participate in the "Open meeting about art in the landscape" conference, many workshops and to see with a guide the artworks in the landscape from the previous editions of the Kjerringoy Land Art Biennial. In return, they shared their experience of organizing a land art festival and the moving history of the landscape under Ralsko. The participants of the study trip also met the top artists from all over the world who were selected by the expert jury for the Kjerringoy Land Art Biennale 2024. Their experiences, opinions and examples of good practice were extremely interesting and beneficial, as well as their valuable personal insights from land art meetings and events from many different countries. The exchange of experiences regarding practical issues of organizing land art and cultural events, securing financial resources, working with donors, working with the public, with the local community, with schools, with media and social networks, with the art or academic scene was also extremely valuable. A film documentary was made of the whole meeting, which serves to promote the individual project partners and the meeting as a whole.
