Description

The aim of the initiative was a multi-genre artistic experiment of the Czech and Norwegian artists in DOX Centre for Contemporary Art Prague. The Norwegian artist created the stage set – conceptual installation in DOX, the Czech partner (theatre JEDL) used this for their live performances "Mr. Pros". This innovative approach provided an opportunity for dialogue between stage design and fine art. The initiative may lead to a subsequent bilateral project based on H. Ibsen''s work. Summary of the results

Initiative achievements: (a)  1 new multi-genre experimental theatre play (a first one in the new DOX''s programming strategy), (b) 1 premiere + 3 repeat performances,  the cooperation among the Czech JEDL theatre company and the Norwegian multi-genre artist Anders Gronlien and the DOX Centre, (c) experience with a multi-genre form (d) the cooperation between the JEDL theatre company and Anders Gronlien established. Implemented activities within the initiative: stage music (composition, rehearsals); actors'' parts: rehearsals; set design / conceptual installation developed and implemented (A. Gronlien); theatre costumes: design and creation; PR activities; rehearsals at DOX (with technicians etc.); premiére + 3 repeat performances; deinstallations of the stage (always after performance).
