Summary of the results

DOC.STREAM Academy (DSA) followed the tradition of connecting partners from Norway and Iceland and brought together students from Nordland Art and Film School and FAMU and Tomas Bata University in Zlin (for the second year in 2019). There were four main activities, all of them succesfully delivered: (1) DOC.STREAM Academy as part of Ji.hlava Academy  (lectures, talks, discussions, masterclasses and screenings), (2) DOC.STREAM Academy presents (discussion after each screening was guided by the tutors, with the main focus on creative and filmmaking process, sharing experiences and learning more about the field through commentary of the other participants and tutors), (3) FAMU presents (DSA participants attended screening of 4 selected films from FAMU) and (4) Matchmaking service for DSA participants. The initiative hopefully contributed to more diverse documentary film environment and enriched the background of each participant. It surely contributed to mutual understanding between partner countries (in this field).
