Description

The aim of the initiative is to share experience, knowledge and best practice in the area of equal pay to decrease the gender pay gap in the Czech Republic. An Equal Pay Certification Workshop will be organised for the Czech participants by the Icelandic Directorate of Equality. The workshop will include presentations from specialist advisors and lawyers mandated the administration and implementation of the Icelandic Gender Equality Act. The workshop will also include visits to relevant institutions:

- A visit to the Office of equality at the Prime Minister’s Office
- A visit to the Icelandic

Summary of the results

The study visit helped to increase the expertise of representatives of the Department of Gender Equality of the Czech Office of Government. The new experience and findings are being used for further works in the field of coordination of the gender equality agenda and within preparation, implementation and evaluation of internal politics concerning Government Strategy for Equality of Women and Men in the Czech Republic for 2021 - 2030. Gained knowledge will also be utilised during preparation of Equal Pay Action Plan, administered by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in cooperation with the Department of Gender Equality of the Governmental Office. Results of the study visit were presented to relevant stakeholders by the Committee for the Reconciliation of Work, Private and Family Life - advisory committee of the Government Council For Equality of o Woman and Men and via workshop for employers, which was organised in cooperation with the Business and Society.
