Description

Two mutual, approximately one-week study visits with a new partner organization from Iceland, to get to know the activities of the organizations and share experiences, inspiration, and the transfer of good practice to the activities of the associations.
During about 6 months, we will implement foreign work placements in both countries for about 4 and 4 people, where other employees of the organization will always be involved in the activities at the place of operation. The main topics will be youth work, civic involvement, community development, lifelong learning and volunteering.

Summary of the results

During our visit we learned both theoretically about projects and methodologies that work with migrants or people with disabilities at different levels and areas, and also strongly emphasize education and work with youth, which we could see in practical demonstrations during our mini-excursions in local partner organizations.
We have shared our findings with the whole team of the organisation and we are gradually looking for ways to incorporate some of the innovations into our practice. (For example, with the fatherhood project we are reaching out to our clients and motivating them to start a club and share experiences to help new fathers; we have already submitted a participation project on wellbeing with young people and we also want to revisit our "living libraries" in the adult talks to inspire others to self-realisation e.g. We are also preparing a project for children on healthy lifestyles (diet, exercise, mental hygiene).
Yes, our expectations have been met.
