Description

We have been developing international cooperation for a long time, enabling the transfer of EB approaches supporting disadvantaged children to the educational system. The project aims to strengthen NGOs and is primarily focused on enhancing cooperation between Østbytunet Children''s Psychiatric Center and SOFA, making it possible to plan another joint project on the development of a program for educators. Also, the know-how of both project partners and other NGOs will be strengthened through a publicly accessible conference presenting NME (Norway), the PBIS system (CZ), and other experts.

Summary of the results

The project exceeded our expectations. The cooperation on the project has expanded the international network of cooperating experts in the countries concerned. The organisations we met during our working visit to Norway are gradually being contacted and linked to relevant key experts in other countries (e.g. through the SMHILE network https://smhile.org/). The conference organised within the project in November 2023 was a great success (104 participants) and the recording of the conference has around 200 views (YouTube link here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_YEkBPGVP9TR2kwh96BROxHJjCELmKlI). The conference has more than fulfilled the plan of raising awareness on the topic of wellbeing and approaches in the Norwegian and Czech environment. With the continued use of videos and promotion, we believe that the conference continues to be beneficial for Czech practice. In the feedback completed from the 36 participants, 97.2% of them responded that they rated the conference as Very Beneficial or Beneficial. The conference featured three international experts, Christine Weiss (accompanied by Kaja Johannessen), Tosha Owens and Anne Karhu, who are considering further collaboration due to their connections at the conference.
