Description

As a part of the project, the implementation team of the project No Traps: Integration and support of autistic children into regular schools will travel to Norway, where the team will gain experience from educating children with ASD in Norway. He will subsequently use these experiences in the preparation of a manual for the inclusion of children with ASD in regular schools in the Czech Republic and in the preparation of a related course for teachers.

Summary of the results

The main goal of the project was to be inspired by well-functioning practice in Norway and to transfer elements of good practice to the Czech Republic. The project team wanted to supplement the knowledge gained in Iceland by visiting a Norwegian school that educates children with autism, and use this knowledge in the creation of a guide to the inclusion of children with autism in regular schools in the Czech Republic and a related course for teachers that they are currently creating. This goal was completely fulfilled - since its return at the beginning of February, the organization has implemented five more pilots of the emerging course, in which it has already included experiences from Norway, the same applies to the guide for schools integrating children with ASD, which is already de facto ready. The study tour provided the organization with answers to questions that relate in particular to work with teachers and school management and their motivation for educating children with special educational needs, which applies to practically all children with autism.
