Description

The Norwegian organisation KUN Centre for Equality and Diversity is organising an international conference in Oslo on June 14, 2022 on the topic of gender-sensitive education in early childhood education. Furthermore, on  June 15, 2022 KUN will organise several visits to Norwegian organisations that deal with the topic of gender-sensitive education in their practice. The aim of the project is to enable a group of 5 stakeholders from the Czech Republic to participate in these activities, learn  examples of best practices and gain inspiration for their work on this topic in our country.

Summary of the results

The goal of the project was to enable selected actors and actresses from the Czech Republic (a total of 5 people) to gain direct experience with Norwegian practice in the field of gender-sensitive education, namely preschool education. The goal of the project was fulfilled in the planned scope, the group of 5 actors, thanks to participation in an international conference and also consultations with several Norwegian entities active in the mentioned topic, deepened their professional knowledge and received inspiration from Norwegian partners for their further activities in the field of gender-sensitive education in the Republic.Out of a total of 5 experts from the Czech Republic who are dedicated to the topic of gender equality and education, 3 experts represented the state administration (two people from the Ministry of Education and Culture and one from the Ministry of the Interior), the remaining 2 experts represented the Czech non-profit sector (the organizations Konsent and Gender Studies, which primarily deal with associated with gender-sensitive education).
