Description

The main aim of the project is to enable the successful implementation of UNSCR 1325 and gender mainstreaming in diplomatic and Governmental activities. The project will strengthen relations between the relevant departments of the Governments of Cyprus and Norway. The Norwegian actors will gain a better understanding of the role of UNSCR 1325 in the Cypriot context.

Norway has recently launched its 4th NAP, and the Norwegian MFA has extensive expertise of in the implementation of UNSCR 1325. A training/official’s level seminar will be provided to the staff of the Cypriot MFA and other

Summary of the results

On 21-22 of September 2021, three experts from Norway visited Cyprus in order to provide  training to Cypriot stakeholdersThe training provided the essential tools and expertise for a more thorough implementation of the necessary actions and activities of the NAP on 1325 by the MFA and other Departments, and will also serve to enable Cypriot stakeholders to further train other Governmental Services.
