Summary of project results

One of main problems today is wrong values respected by young generation. Materialism, indifference, distrust, virtual life and disinterest in real world, lack of knowledge of history etc., all that reinforced by election of M. Kotleba for governor of BB region... Simply, young people are generally not well oriented in present. The project aimed to improving of situation by showing students of gymnasiums and universities what are good and what are wrong aspects of societal life. It was achieved mostly by number of workshops, seminars, speeches, which - in understable way - showed and explained phenomena like racism, extremism, hate speech and the Holocaust as well as it motivated participants to self-assessment, evaluation of life opportunities. In addition, the project motivated them to spread the awareness among their peers. Lectures and activities on given topics were organized in very informal way in order to not to distract young people. The project results are rather generous. More than 1100 young people (mostly in region of Mr.Kotleba) got an informal intensive education toward proper ways/values of life. Most of them participated in much more than one event (130 events were organized in total). Some of lectures were really opinion making among young generation. In addition, the top lectures were recorded on video and above 12.000 people saw them. The training course about how to tackle the hate speech, racims and extremism was elaborated and certified by the Ministry of Education and will be provided to teachers in the region.
