Description

Of all areas, from which Roma are being excluded from the education process seems the segregation of Roma children in schools nowadays the most important. The emphasis of the problem lies mainly in the fact, that the exclusion affects not only the actual process of education of Roma children, but has also a proven negative impact on integration into society after leaving school. The objective of the project is to create conditions, particularly human and professional sources for a high-quality intercultural education programs through education of Roma realities, and also the development of inclusive education by increasing social inclusion. The outcome of the project will increase the social inclusion of Roma children by creating a positive attitude towards education, duties, responsibilities, the social and cultural values and last but not least the awareness of their own value and the need of integration into society. Through the establishment of the Roma realities teaching, this will be included in the school curricula as an optional subject for all pupils.Target groups are Roma pupils, other pupils from the school, parents, residents of the village, society.

Summary of project results

The results of the project are very satisfied because it created the new teaching materials , such as workbooks and textbooks as well as audio learning that is necessary for teaching. The project helped to strenghten Romany language and even more this project influenced a few people interested in Roma language studies outside of Roma pupils . Thus, overall we can only positively assessed the implementation of the project , and in particular its contribution to the school and students
