Description

The main aim of the project is to improve the knowledge of discrimination by increasing the awareness of children and young people concerning their rights and obligations as well as the benefits of diversity. We have focused on raising the level of education and practical training of basic skills as to improve the quality of life of the children and youth in the community centre putting the emphasis on the basic topics relating to employment issues. The intention of the project is to strengthen vulnerable groups. We would like to achieve, by the means of interviews on the theme of discrimination, the substantial change in the fight against discrimination. The children and youth can attend the club activities on a voluntary basis and according to their current interest and needs. We will intentionally focus on issues of discrimination and the rights of the child during our activities of pre-school and school education and the language lessons. The approach and work with children during these activities are individual and the children establish an intimate relationship to the community centre workers. At the beginning of each activity we have a brief introductory discussion with a particular child. The children will be in touch with the topic of discrimination and human rights also visually, via the posters depicting these topics in the premises of our centre. The children often ask questions about new informative materials available in our centre, they want to learn more about the topics or are often informed with the use of new informative materials by our centre workers who also initiate the conversation on respective topics. Our activities are based on voluntary principle of the offered options. In the course of educational activities we have an individual approach to each child and we try to perform these activities in a way to make them interesting for the children so they like going to our center as they enjoy learning in there.
