Description

The project aims to contribute to minimize the cases of violence against sex-workers. Based on preliminary monitoring are the most common committers of violence, the customers, policemen or passers-by. The project therefore aims to work with three target groups. Aim of the project will be achieved particularly by raising awareness about the rights of sex-workers, as well as highlighting the violence that is committed on them. To the police we will provide training and information-educational material from which they can gain information about methods of work with this target group. The benefit will be the gained new professional skills. For the public we prepare a campaign, which will aim to sensitize the society. We will increase the legal awareness of sex-workers through providing professional advice, articles and info-educational material. The positive outcome will be the strengthen of the ability to defend their rights. The project will be implemented in partnership with SWAN.

Summary of project results

All of planned results were sucessfully implemented. We are planning to continue in routine of providing service of social field work to woman working in the sex industry, in cooperation with Police department, we remain a memeber of international network SWAN. Team education helped to build the capability of organisation. realisation of activities following the project results dependes on providing a financial source, to get this goal we´ve responded to 2 grant calls by day. Based on monitiroing the cases of violence committed against woman working in the sex industry, during the project it appeared, that all of 29 asked woman went trough violence during their work and 15 of them never reported this violence in the police. The project helped to estabilish cooperation between our organisation and Police depertment in question of violence committed against woman working in the sex industry, to inform better these woman about thier rights, public about this issue and to gather importatnt information from monitoring the violence. An active consultatnt from the community - woman working in the sex industry, was involved during the whole project. Woman working in the sex industry themeselves participated in project activities and output- e.g. in creating educational and informational materilas, public catalogue of photograps, during monitoring of violence.
