Description

The project is a continuation of the institutions’ project to intensify planned cooperation and joint activities with partner institutions, Hedmark University College and University of Akureyri in the academic year 2014/2015. In the following academic years the Environmental Protection College will upgrade this cooperation, not only by mobility activities, but also in other areas of work, particularly in the development of new/joint study programmes, in the field of scientific research and applicative cooperation projects (joint research/applied projects) and implementation of joint activities for the dissemination of the results achieved (e.g. joint publications, organization of international seminars and conferences). This way the successful cooperation with partner institutions shall be consolidated. The project will have effects on society at large and with dissemination activities the transmission of knowledge will be increased and reach different target users - with appropriate dissemination of the results: e.g. participation in professional organization or expertise and scientific events, publications.

Summary of project results

Partner institutions in the project are Hedmark University College, Norway, University of Akureyri, Iceland and Environmental Protection College (EPC), Slovenia. Project helps to strengthen and intensify the cooperation and exchange of international students and staff mobility between partner institution in Norway, Iceland and Slovenia. Project also aims to create good conditions for further cooperation between partner institutions in the field of education, training and research. Project addresses through more intensive cooperation with partner institutions the opportunity to spread institution's network with some new partners in the future. Target groups of the project are partners students, teaching, research and other staff. Students will get the opportunity to improve their knowledge and soft skills in international environment. Teaching, research and other staff will get the opportunity to improve their professional knowledge, international educational experience, job shadowing, team working etc.

Summary of bilateral results

The role of partners were as a host institution and as a guest institution for exchange students and staff. The donor project partner’s got the opportunity for dissemination of knowledge, work experiences, job shadowing, administrative and technical support. The partnership achieve the main goals: to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of education and training, further cooperation in other fields such as research, joint study programmes, cultural and social dimension, etc. The wider effects that the partnership has are: we know each other much more in many points of view: us HEIs, in person (teaching and administrative staff met each other), our students got the opportunity for mobility to donor countries, projects partner for future cooperations, etc. EPC’s director and dean had meeting with the dean of the partner institution, international coordinators met each other, teaching staff met each other, they share knowledge, pedagogical and other experiences.
