Summary of project results

The mobility project was needed to strengthen the partnership between University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB) and University of Iceland (UoI), University of Lichenstein, University of Reykjavik (UoR) in the field of green environmental, biomaterials, business administration and IT processing. It was expected to establish new cooperation areas to commit innovative teaching methods and to share fruitful experiences in Business Process Management, Automatic Control Processing (IT processing) and Biomaterials manufacturing. The objective was to organize a series of lectures in Iceland and Romania. Also, mobility’s for students and for technical personnel was very important for improving the personnel activity and widening the student’s horizon. Another objective of the project was to promote master students learning mobility in the field of Business and Administration and to build a sustainable Lichenstein Romania partnership between two higher institutions: UPB – FEBEM Department and University of Lichenstein (UL). The impact consisted of ways for disseminating relevant knowledge in Business and Administration, and also fruitful opportunities for mutual exchange of experiences and cultural awareness. The cooperation between University of Iceland and University Politehnica of Bucharest started due to participation in a mobility project. The courses in Bucharest, held by University of Iceland professors, were very interesting for Romanian students. Also the Romanian master students’ beneficiaries of a mobility grant in University of Iceland learn about the corrosion process directly on the site from the specialist in that field. The donor partner had a very important role in the master theses analysis of the two master students involved in the program. Also, the partnership enhanced transnational cooperation between the two HE institutions and improved intercultural awareness of the target group. The partners contributed towards the mobility project outcome by investing their time, experiences and operational capacity in selecting, awarding, teaching, and evaluating beneficiaries’ students. University Politehnica of Bucharest and the partners from University of Iceland, University of Reykjavik and University of Lichenstein worked together for to submitted another kind of project for to extent their collaboration. Also, during these visits, they identified common interests for future research projects.

Summary of bilateral results

The project planned results consist of two intensive programmes, one in Reykjavik, Lichenstein and one in Bucharest. During the project UPB team planned a new research project for to share knowledge. Each partner has different areas of expertise, important for the field of assistive systems for visually impaired people. Therefore, it is benefic to meet and discuss about the possible contribution of each partner in the future research collaboration. The project planned results are 8 outgoing students from RO to LI, IS in Business and Administration field, Green Energy and new IT software.
