The expected results are increased professional skills of managers, technicians and volunteers met in actions as well as an increase in the participation of volunteers (with proper training) in the activities of NGOs and others social institutions.

Summary of project results

Through this project, the promoter, which addresses issues of health, gender equality and human development, has implemented a training plan for the qualification of its managers, staff and volunteers, in order to improve the services it provides and its sustainability. Through the training sessions, which had 56 attendees, the promoter increased its skills on gender equality matters, social intervention with families, job seeking techniques and volunteer work management. Implemented in Évora, southern Portugal, the project benefitted from informal partnerships, which were not originally planned, with the Portuguese Red Cross and the Évora branch of the European Anti-Poverty Network. This allowed the promoter to exceed the planned targets and will also facilitate the joint implementation of future projects. Also through this project, the promoter has gained additional visibility in its community.
