Description

Project description: Intemo is a producer of plastic goods. The main objective of the project supported by GII Programme is an installation of photovoltaic modules using the innovative technology SmartWire by building a 300,00 kWp photovoltaic system to produce renewable energy. SmartWire technology increases productivity and reduces production costs. Project objectives: • Protecting the natural environment by fostering manufacturing more ecological products • Increasing production of energy, reduce energy cost. • Development of pro-ecological innovations in the company Outcome indicators: • Number of environmental technologies successfully applied for use in new areas - 1 • Green jobs created – 2 new green jobs • Reduction in CO2 emissions – 977 tones/ year

Summary of project results

The main objective of the project was to install photovoltaic modules using the innovative SmartWire technology in order to generate renewable energy. The modules were installed on the roof of the Intemo factory. SmartWire technology increases productivity and reduces production costs. The traditional busbars are replaced by tiny wires: the production of energy from photovoltaic modules increases due to wires which take electrons from the surface of electric cell. The applied technology increases productivity and reduces the costs of production. The framework of the investment project assumes fostering more ecological products during manufacturing process, reducing emission of CO2 by about 249 tons per year, SO2 and NOx by about 0,3 tons per year and also increasing production of energy and reducing cost of this process.
