Summary of project results
The purpose of the project was to educate young people within the area of the basic principles of law. It was aimed to increase their awareness of the consequences of not following legal rules. Project authors believe that this knowledge could serve as a preventive measure for not making a mistakes that would affect ones future. Within the project, two editions of workshops were carried: for students of secondary schools and high schools - a total sum of 506 workshops were carried out, it took over 1496 hours. Assumed number of participants was 15180 and finally it was exceeded - eventually 15,662 students took part. Educational materials were developed for the purposes of this project. Originally 15180 copies were planned to be distributed - yet the number was highly exceeded, the final number of copies was 15354. Workshops were aimed to achieve certain target: significant increase in knowledge about the functioning of the justice system and access to justice understood as the right to fair court trial. Workshops also allowed to build and expand the appropriate attitudes towards the law among young people. Percentage of questionnaires confirming knowledge increase stated, that it was the point within 85,61 percent of participants (planned value was 80 percent). www.edukacjaprawna.gov.pl and innovative legal and educational handbook for children and the youth aged 12-18 years "Przychodzi uczeń do prawnika"/ A student comes to a lawyer". In basic assumptions of the project, manual was supposed to be distributed in 60,000 copies, final value was established at 79,000 copies. Information campaign in the media was also organized, it included the publication of 16 articles in the national press. An important element of the promotion of the project was also The Lex Master contest, regarding the legal knowledge for secondary and high school students. The contest was successfully organized and conducted.
