Description

Training in the form of lecture, workshops and practical classes in a military training areas and in border regions will improve qualifications of 80 officials of the Management Board III of Police Central Bureau of Investigation (special operations) in the field of use of various tools to support observation for implementation of the uniform task; tactics of discreet action in urban area and in the crowd of people, offensive actions in urban area as well as actions in border region during cross-border hot pursuit; techniques of the offensive driving during implicit hot pursuit in urban traffic. Improvement of qualifications of individual officials, synergy of the technical devices and improvement of cooperation between technical, observation and implementation groups of the Police Central Bureau of Investigation involved in the operation of detention of particularly dangerous criminals will contribute to increase of efficiency and safety of special operations, thereby increasing capacity of services to combat organised crime.

Summary of project results

The objective of the project was to increase the Police capacity to prevent and combat cross-border and organised crime, including human trafficking and itinerant criminal groups. The project included a series of training sessions regarding e.g.: use of individual devices and the comprehensive use of devices supporting surveillance; tactics regarding undercover operations in urban areas and in crowded places; tactics regarding offensive operations in urban areas; tactics regarding cross-border pursuits; offensive driving techniques for conducting pursuits in city traffic. The project deliverables included improvement in the officers' qualifications, synergy of technical devices and improvement in the cooperation between the technical, surveillance and operation groups of the Central Bureau of Investigation. This enhanced the efficiency and safety of special operations, thereby boosting the capacity of the services to combat organised crime.
