Description

The purpose of the project is to create an all-Poland network to support the prevention and combating of trafficking in human beings. Another purpose of the project is to improve the quality and effectiveness of non-governmental organisations working on combating trafficking in human beings. The Network is to operate in all voivodeships (provinces) in Poland. The creation of an institutionalised model of cooperation aims at strengthening the capacities of regional organisations, exchange of information, improved performance and interaction with public administration bodies. The project includes the creation and development of the Network as well as capacity building. As planned, 28 organisations will operate within the Network. The project result will include strengthened cooperation in the provision of assistance to victims of trafficking in human beings between public authorities and relevant stakeholders, including non-governmental organisations. The other result will be enhanced capacities of personnel of regional organisations operating within the area of trafficking in human beings.

Summary of project results

The core goal of the project was to establish professional network of organizations fighting with trafficking in human beings, to encourage the quality and efficiency of its’ activities, professionalization of the activities and strengthening of its’ potential to make possible being in partnership with public institutions and enforcement agencies, in cooperation to preventing and counteracting trafficking in human beings. Secondly, to enhance the implementation of the acquis communautaire of the Schengen zone, structures, systems and technical equipment have been developed. Also higher efficiency of actions of the institutions responsible for crimes of trafficking in human beings by improvement of structures and tools, strengthening of the potential as well as implementation of best practices and professional monitoring of activities have been achieved. Representatives of the institutions and organizations concerning fighting against trafficking in human beings and the support delivered to its victims have raised qualifications. Standards of the services for trafficking in human beings victims, especially those related to the safety, privacy and the respect have been drafted. Within the Project implementation, 492 people have been trained in human trafficking by members of the network.
