The Project "Promotion of cultural diversity by establishing cooperation between The Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź and Telemark Chamber Orchestra" was implemented in order to eliminate certain barriers diagnosed within chamber muci environment. Thus, the project was crucial from the musical perspective, both Norwegian and Polish. Due the implementation of the project all goals were achieved. The main aim of the project team was to build a new, firm and long-standing partnership between two orchestras from Poland and Norway. As a result, the two orchestras cooperated for almost two years and are in the process of planning new artistic actions after completion of the project. The project team organised concerts, masterclasses and international conference in order to build the cooperation between both institutions (Academy of Music i n Łódź and Telemark Chamber Orchestra). During the project Leader of the project organised with the Partner 17 masterclasses, 15 concerts and 1 conference. The events took place both in Poland and Norway. The above figures indicate that the project team implemented 1 masterclass and 5 concerts more than primarly scheduled. The extra activities were possible due to the Partner of the project. Due to the implementation of the project both sides benefited. The Polish and Norwegian orchestras got to know it`s repertories, what was one of the most important aspects of cultural exchange.

Summary of bilateral results

Both orchestras have their unique values. The Norwegian enslamble consists of professional and experianced musicians. The Polisch orchestra was formed by prof. Łukasz Błaszczyk, who engaged best Polish students, many of whom have already won prestigious rewards during internation competitions. The Norwegian music is very different from Polish repertoire which created a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and learn from each other. Apart from the fact that it was Leader who was responsilbe for accounting the aplication, the all issues were resolved after consultations and with the consent of the Partner. As a result of the project both orchestras built a solid partnership which enabled them to cooperate after the project. For instance, both ensambles are getting ready for another joint project which will take place in November 2016. The orchestras have a better understanding of repertories from different countries due to the project. The solid partnership formed during two years of joint work resulted in extra, ad hoc concerts and masterclassess. In short, the funds enabled both orchestra members to get to know each other and gave institutions time and opportunity to form a bond.
