The following activities addressed to men and women will be conducted: - a series of workshops to teach skills in combating discriminatory behaviours (40 persons) - developing and organising a “drama game" to present emotions of discriminated women (20 participants, approx. 3000 observers) - press articles, broadcasts in local media to raise awareness on the problem of discrimination - lectures, film show and panel discussions on discrimination of women in their workplace - developing solutions (approx. 50 persons) - legal and psychological support for women who plan to take legal action related to sexual harassment in their workplace - organising meetings with experts in labour legislation (approx. 60 persons).

Summary of project results

"Women of the Opole voivodship interviewed by the Association talked of discrimination against women at the workplace: while the usual associations involve unequal rules of recruitment and remuneration, little attention is paid to such behaviour as gender stereotype-related jokes and comments, assessment based on looks, comments suggesting negligence of violence and sexual harassment issues, behaviour belittling female accomplishment, and acts of age-based discrimination. The project purpose was to make Opole voivodship residents aware of the issue of discrimination against women in educational activities, and to support persons suffering of gender-based discrimination. The project allowed 400 persons to learn how to identify discriminative behaviour and duly react thereto. Legal and psychological aid was offered to 31 women - discrimination and workplace mobbing victims. A series of workshops on preventing discrimination was delivered. Two city games were organised to raise the participants' awareness of the circumstances of discrimination victims. Two open lectures were held, involving 2 panel debates, 2 film screenings, and 2 meetings with experts, to the overall purpose of joint debates concerning strategies of preventing discrimination against women. Eight articles were published in the local press; 4 radio programmes on the situation of women were broadcast twice. Five hundred copies of a visual graphic publication showing the situation of a female discrimination victim were printed. Seventy-six persons attended anti-discrimination workshops. Thirty-nine persons participated in city games. Legal and psychological aid was offered to 31 women. A total of 310 persons attended lectures and discussions. The publication was distributed to over 50 companies, institutions, and organisations."
