Description

Hospital Giżycko Ltd environmental activities - the exchange lighting for energy-efficient lighting, installation of the photovoltaic system and thermo-modernization. Hospital Giżycko Ltd is a district hospital. The hospital has exist since 1910. The facility conducts medical services. In 2012 the hospital was been converted into a corporation. Project is needed becouse: Increase of the number of public buildings after thermomodernization will improve energy efficiency in buildings, Replacement of fluorescent light and incandescent light bulbs on LED lighting will result in power savings (70%), Thermomodernization branch infectious (thermal insulation of building walls and flat roof, replacement of the heating system, replacement of doors and windows) will result in savings of thermal energy. Implementation of the project in the long term will have positive affect in turning down greenhouse gas emissions, and will improve the environment of the region. Improving environmental conditions, and consequently to improve the living conditions of residents of the project area. The project will achieve: Reduction of carbon dioxide emissions at the level of 1141.57 mg / year. Electrical reducing energy consumption (70%) - it will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 882.78 Mg / year. Challenges of the project will be achieved through: replacement lighting on energy-efficient lighting, installation of photovoltaic installation, thermomodernization Beneficiaries of the project: Hospital patients and staff, Residents of Giżycko, residents of neighboring municipalities (Kruklanki, Ryn Milki, Wydminy).

Summary of project results

Hospital Giżycko Ltd is a district hospital. The hospital has exist since 1910. The facility conducts medical services. In 2012 the hospital was been converted into a corporation. Project was needed in order to reduce air pollutions and to improve energy efficiency in hospitals buildings (which should result also in energy and cost savings). Thermomodernisational works covered 3 buildings, within the project near one thousand of m2 of partition were insulated, 115 old windows and doors were replaced. 3 interior installations were modernized. Installed were pgotovoltaic cells and over 1740 lighting points have been exchanged for ecological. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (1152 Mg/year). Beneficiaries of the project are Hospital patients and staff, Residents of Giżycko, residents of neighboring municipalities (Kruklanki, Ryn Milki, Wydminy).
