Description
The project is needed to improve the energy efficiency of the complex of public schools buildings in Dobrzany in order to reduce their maintenance costs and CO2 emissions. The project will not only improve the energy efficiency of the buildings, but also increase the use of energy from renewable energy sources. The aim of the project will be achieved through thermo-modernisation and the replacement of the existing energy sources and light systems to alternatives that are more energy efficient. In addition to its positive climate change-related impact, the project will also have an economic and social impact: Economic by reducing energy consumption and lowering energy costs, socially through the improved working conditions for those who work or study in the buildings affected by the improved energy efficiency measures. The inhabitants of Dobrzany City Commune, and then especially those who work or study in these buildings, are expected to benefit from the project.
Summary of project results
Thermomodernisational works covered one public utility building (school complex). Within the project over 11 thousands m2 of partition were insulated and one temperature-control mechanism was mounted. Interior lighting was exchanged for ecological one. 160 photovoltaic cells and one biomass boiler have been installed. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (676 Mg/year). The Beneficiary emphasized that thanks to projects implementation Municipality gained crucial experience and knowledge in environmental and investment issue.
