Description

The carrying out of the project will lower energy requirements of the hospital's buildings while improving both their comfort and aesthetic qualities. The primary objective of the project is to lower emission of greenhouse gases and air pollution. It is expected that the realization of the project will enhance both the ecological profile and the energy efficiency of the buildings while also improving user comfort. Moreover, it is believed that it will lower the maintenance costs of the facilities. The insulation of the respective facilities, the instalment of new windows, hot water pipes and central heating (including the heat exchanger), as well as the introduction of solar panels combined with a new interior lighting system aimed at using more economical devices are all sure to decrease electric and thermal energy demands in accordance with the aims of the project. Large-scale benefits are to be attained in numerous fields. The significant decrease in emission of greenhouse gases is bound to benefit the local population as well as the environment in general. The hospital's staff and patients will profit from more effectively insulated and heated facilities.

Summary of project results

Projects implementation was needed to reduce CO2 emission and lower energy requirements of the hospital's building while improving both their comfort and aesthetic qualities. Thermomodernisational works covered one building of the hospital. Within the project over 8,7 of m2 of partition were insulated, over 300 windows and doors replaced. Beneficiary also has introduced 60 solar collectors combined with a new interior lighting system aimed at using more economical devices. 2 interior installations and heat exchanger were modernised. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (1911 Mg/year). Projects implementation has decrease energy intake of hospital's building and improve comfort of its usage. The hospital's staff and patients profit from more effectively insulated and heated facilities.
