The project is needed because the technical condition of the building is insufficient and needs to be be improved. The improvement of the energy efficiency in the building is the main objective of the project, since it allows for the reduction of the emission of greenhouse gases and air pollution. Moreover, the living conditions of the inhabitants will be improved, since the project is expected to achieve better working conditions. First of all, temperature changes will not be as apparent as now. Secondly, children and teachers will stay and work in favorable conditions and they will not be exposed to discomfort at work. The project will address these challenges by insulating the walls, roofs and ceilings of the school building, as well as replacing the windows, doors and boilers. The local community is expected to benefit. All children, teachers and employees of the school will benefit from the project.

Summary of project results

Technical condition of the building was insufficient, therefore investment was essential. The improvement of the energy efficiency in the building was the main goal of the project, since it allows for the reduction of the emission of greenhouse gases and air pollution. Thermomodernisational works covered 2 public utility buildings (schools), projects material scope has been extended (additional works have been co-financed under EEA fund). Within the project 4 heat sources were replaced and over 11 thousand m2 of partition were insulated. Auxiliary energy devices and interior lighting were exchanged for energy efficient and ecological ones. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (532 Mg/year). Conditions of the learning for students were improved. The beneficiary gained also experience in implementation of EEA projects.
