Description

The project is aimed at the thermo-modernisation of public buildings with weak thermal protection (due to uninsulated outer walls, leaky window and door frames, etc.) and low efficiency of the central heating and hot water installations. This situation causes the consumption of an inordinate amount of energy and high CO2 emission from the power systems. It thus contributes to the worsening of environmental conditions and causes high costs of maintenance of the above mentioned institutions. The aim of the project are: the insulation of outer walls, modernization of ventilation installations, modernization of windows and door frames, and modernization of internal installations such as the central heating and usable hot water systems. The project is expected to reduce CO2 emission by 1420.18 Mg per year and increase the production of the energy from renewable sources to 643.6 MWh per year. The Gdańsk City Commune and its inhabitants are expected to benefit from the project.

Summary of project results

Thermomodernisational works covered 5 public utility building (schools) with prior weak thermal protection and low energy efficiency. Within the project over 37 thousands m2 of partition were insulated, exchanged were also door and window frames. Interior installations (including ventilation) were modernised. Mounted was automation system (heat control). Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (1420 Mg/year). The Beneficiary emphasized that thanks to projects implementation gained was crucial experience and knowledge in environmental and investment issue.
