Description

The main objective of the project is to introduce thermomodernization measures in primary schools in Jarnuty, Nowe Kupiski and Konarzyce aimed at: the reduction of heat losses through walls, ventilation, doors and windows of the building, the reduction of heat consumption and increased efficiency of the central heating and heat sources. The project will be implemented in the municipality of Lomza, in the Podlaskie region. The above-mentioned primary schools do, in most cases, not meet the technical requirements for buildings in accordance with applicable environmental laws. Through the implementation of the project, a series of modernization activities for each of the three primary schools is provided, including: external wall insulation, ceiling insulation, modernization of the central heating installation, and the replacement of old boilers with a new one using biomass. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM.

Summary of project results

Primary schools in Łomża Municipality initially did not meet the technical requirements for buildings in accordance with applicable environmental laws. The aim of the project was to improve energy and economic efficiency in the above mentioned buildings. Thermomodernisational works covered 4 school buildings. Within the project over 7,7 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, over 140 old windows and doors were replaced. 4 heat sources were replaced for ecological ones (biomass boilers), interior installations were modernised (including ventilation). Beneficiary also mounted power management system and 42 photovoltaic cells. Interior lighting was exchanged for ecological one. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (546 Mg/year). Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM.
