Description
The project is needed due to the following problems: damaged façade, cracked plaster, water marks and contamination by moisture, poor technical condition of the roof and the flat roof. The objective of the project is to improve energy efficiency of two public buildings intended for educational use by way of thermal modernisation and replacement of an outdated heating system in the above mentioned buildings. The project involves improving energy efficiency of the two public buildings which will result in reduced emissions of harmful substances, including CO2 and reduced energy consumption. Completing the works will reduce the costs of electricity, and the funds saved will be allocated to other investment projects. In order to improve energy efficiency of the two public buildings and to reduce emissions of harmful substances the following works will be carried out: Thermal modernization of Primary School and Nursery Unit in Udanin and the building of John Paul II Lower Secondary School in Ujazd Górny. The project is targeted mainly towards the district inhabitants and will contribute to improving their access to public services.
Summary of project results
Projects implementation has contributed to improving of energy and economic efficiency in the Udanin municipality. Thermomodernisational works covered 2 public utility buildings (school and kindergarten). Within the project 7872 m2 of partition were insulated, 882 m2 of window frames were replaced. 3 heat pomps have been installed. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (560,5 Mg/year). The Beneficiary emphasized that thanks to projects implementation ecological awareness and knowledge about res using and energy managing have rose.
