Description

The building, which has four floors, is a high-energy building due to the technologies and building products used during its construction. The building does not meet basic thermal insulation standards, generates high heat losses and significant costs. The aim of the project is to save energy, reduce CO2 emissions and use renewable energy sources. The provision of the project will reduce the heat losses, operating costs and CO2 emissions. The planned improvement of the building’s thermal efficiency will include, among other things, the replacement of windows and doors, the insulation of exterior walls, structural ceilings and the roof, and the installation of solar thermal collectors. The modernization of the building will also affect the central heating system, the mechanical room and the ventilation system. The project will be implemented for the benefit of the Social Welfare Home residents and employees as well as the local community. To save energy, reduce CO2 emissions and use renewable energy sources thermomodernisation has been carried out within the project. Project material scope has been extended, part of additional works have been co-financed within NFM. Thermomodernisational works covered 2 public utility buildings (social welfare house and district's building). Within the project over 4,2 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, 209 windows and 9 doors replaced.
