Description

The main challenge that our commune needs to address and what we would like to solve through this particular project is the irrational use of energy resources, high costs of maintaining facilities and large amount of pollution emitted into the environment. The main reason for implementing the project is based on an insufficient thermal efficiency at the indoor swimming pool in Ropczyce. The main objectives of the project are the improvement of energy efficiency of the indoor swimming pool and to increase renewable energy production. The implementation of the project contributes to the reduction of thermal energy loss as well as the enhancement of quality of life for people using the facility by improvement of functioning and aesthetics of sports infrastructure. The expected impacts resulting from the implementation of the project include the improvement of energy efficiency of the indoor swimming pool, growth in renewable energy production, reduction of air pollution by limiting greenhouse gas emissions and rational energy use. The project’s target groups are inhabitants of Ropczyce-Sędziszów County, educational institutions and other public institutions.

Summary of project results

Projects was targeted at resolving the irrational use of energy resources, high costs of maintaining facilities and large amount of pollution emitted into the environment. Thermomodernisational works covered 2 public utility buildings (sport purpose). Within the project 2 heat sources were modernised and 30 solar collectors installed. 2 interior installations and one ventilation installation were modernised. Built was also installation allowed to recover heat from waste from the building. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (464 Mg/year). The Beneficiary emphasized that thanks to projects implementation energy efficiency has been improved, noticeable is a growth of renewable energy production and reduction of air pollution by limiting greenhouse gas emissions and rational energy use.
