Description

The current condition of the educational buildings to be thermo-modernized in this project causes them to negatively contribute to the level of air pollution, pollution of soils and surface water and the health of the inhabitants of the region. The project aims to reduce energy consumption, increase energey efficiency and the amount of energy derived from renewable sources, improve air quality, limit pollution, and reduce heat loss through complex thermo-modernization activities. Biomass boilers will be installed, and the condition of the buildings will be improved through the installation of exterior doors and windows as well as insulation. The realization of the project will contribute to an improvement in living conditions for the inhabitants and a better environment for teaching. The project will benefit all users of thermally upgraded public buildings as well as all the inhabitants of the region.

Summary of project results

Projects implementation has contributed to improving of energy efficiency. Thermomodernisational works covered 5 public utility buildings (including schools and kindergartens). Within the project over 6 thousands m2 of partition were insulated, and 6 interior installations modernised. One biomass boiler has been installed. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (296 Mg/year). The Beneficiary emphasized that thanks to projects implementation costs connected with buildings usage will be lower which is very important issue in the field of education. Propoer energy management not only improves functioning conditions but also helps to reduce high expenditure.
