Description
The city of Toruń faces the challenge of a relatively high level of atmospheric pollution - a problem highlighted in many regional and local strategies and development plans. Each of the buildings included in this project has a very high level of energy demand, which causes a lot of air pollution through the emission of harmful substances. This negatively influence the environmental and green areas in Toruń. The objective of the project is to improve the quality of the atmospheric air by reducing the level of heat demand. The project will achieve this by reducing the thermal efficiency of public buildings, reducing the heat demand, and limiting the emission of air pollution in order to improve the state of the environment. The project will also conduct a thermo-modernisation of four public building - three schools and one school's swimming pool. By doing so, the project will benefit the children in those schools and their teachers, and ultimately every inhabitant in the City of Toruń.
