Description
The project seeks to fulfill the requirements of environmental protection provisions according to the Polish and European strategic documents under the protection of the environment Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 on industrial emissions. The Inowroclaw installation doesn’t meet the standards set out in the Directive Reduction, which states that dust emission should not exceed the level of 25 Mg/Nm3, as required by the environmental protection provisions resulting from The Industrial Emissions Directive (IED). The project will result in dust emission reductions and thus an improvement of environmental quality. It will also reduce electricity demand, relieve the degree of exploitation of the natural substrate through less interference in the production environment, and have an ecological effect. The electrostatic precipitators will be modernized by exchanging its internal components (electrical and automation system) and adapt the company to increasingly stringent environmental requirements. The company and the society of the spa town Inowrocław are expected to benefit.
Summary of project results
The main objective of the project is to improve air quality by reducing dust emissions. The implementation of the project has resulted in a significant ecological effect, contributing to improving air quality by significantly reducing the amount of pollutant emissions. Modernization of two boiler electrostatic precipitators was carried out and the dust meter (electrostatic dust monitors) was replaced. As a result of the project, dust emission was reduced (130.55 Mg / year). Electricity production amounts to 164 000 MWh / year. The results of the project have been achieved in 100%.
