Description

The aim of the project, as stated by tge company DALKIA Poznań ZEC S.A., is to reduce emissions of sulfur dioxide and dust to the atmosphere through the application of semi-dry flue gas desulfurization technology, utilizing reactor and fabric filter. The main objective of the project is to reduce emissions of air pollutants, in particular sulfur dioxide and dust generated by DALKIA Poznan ZEC S.A. DALKIA intends to reduce SO2 emissions from the 1K2 boiler from the current level of 1335 mg SO2/Nm3 to a level no higher than 200 mg SO2/Nm3, and also contribute to reduce the amount of dust emitted into the atmosphere from around 60 mg of dust/Nm3 to less than 20 mg dust/Nm3. In order to solve the problem of pollution and emission, DALKIA plans to use a semi-dry technology of flue gas desulfurization with a reactor and fabric filter. The investment will be beneficial for the environment, the company, residents of the surrounding area, as well as to the national economy.

Summary of project results

The aim of the project was reduce emissions of sulfur dioxide and dust to the atmosphere through the application of semi-dry flue gas desulfurization technology, utilizing reactor and fabric filter. The main objective of the project was reduce emissions of air pollutants, in particular sulfur dioxide and dust generated by DALKIA Poznan ZEC S.A. Directive 2010/75 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 on industrial emissions (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) introduced new emission limit values for boiler units. In order to meet these requirements it was necessary to install a 1K2 flue gas desulphurisation boiler. The investment is beneficial for the environment, the company, residents of the surrounding area, as well as to the national economy.
