Description

The aim of the project is to provide high quality data for air quality assessments and to inform residents about local air quality at a regular basis. The Voivodship Inspecorate of Environmental Protection in Olsztyn will, through the implementation of the project, adjust the existing research facilities to Polish and European standards, and to achieve the completeness required by Polish Law in all measurement series. The project implementation will also include the replacement of automatic analyzers operating at measurement stations, hardware and software for data collection and display of measurements, as well as the preparation of an area for filter conditioning and weighing. The project implementation will benefit all polish citizens, local authorities and the central government.

Summary of project results

The objectives of the project have been achieved. New equipment has been purchased and research facilities adapted to meet the standards and necessary requirements to ensure high quality and legally required air quality monitoring data. In order to equip the air quality monitoring station, laboratory and measurement equipment was purchased e.g.: liquid chromatograph with additional equipment, a car adapted for the comprehensive operation of air quality monitoring stations, the system used to collect monitoring data for their processing and reporting, analyzers for automatic measurement of air pollutants together with consumables and additional equipment, container with equipment, LVS dust collectors PM10. A station for the preparation, conditioning and weighing of filters and for marking metals in PM 10 suspended beads has been created. Computer hardware and furniture necessary to create benches for initial verification of measurement data have been purchased. A new system was created for the collection of air quality monitoring data, their processing, transmission and presentation on the website.
