Description

The aim of the project is to recognize the habitats Impatiens Glandulifera (invasive species of foreign origin), to undertake the appropriate methods of controlling it in the Czarna Hańcza river valley, to provide information about the spread of the seeds by water and about the most effective methods of reducing the population of this species, and to conduct a study of the biology and ecology of Impatiens Glandulifera and its habitats along the Czarna Hańcza River. This will be achieved through an inventory of location of Impatiens Glandulifera in the Czarna Hańcza river valley, developing the most effective method of controlling Impatiens Glandulifera, studying the seeds transport mechanism of Impatiens Glandulifera by water, and increasing the knowledge and environmental awareness of the local community about the impact of invasive species on native wildlife. Through knowing the area, spreading transport mechanisms and developing methods of controlling Impatiens Glandulifera, we will be able to reduce its presence in the Czarna Hańcza river valley. The people expected to benefit from the project are those involved in the protection of native wildlife.
