Description

The Project's aim is to develop an innovative social Service and measures for families with children at social exclusion risk and to develop volunteering in Lielvarde Municipality. The project will provide family assistant services for families with children at social exclusion risk. The project targets social exclusion risk families with children, including children with disabilities, aged from birth up to 10 years. The project activities include work of families’ assistants, volunteers training, training groups for parents and measures for families with children, providing psychologists consultations for volunteers – families assistants, development of a methodological material for work organization of families assistants.

Summary of project results

The aim of the Project is achieved - to develop an innovative social Service and measures for social exclusion risk families with children and to develop volunteering in Lielvarde Municipality. Implementation of the project provided the service of families’ assistants for social exclusion risk families with children. The project target group was: the families at risk of social exclusion with children, including children with disabilities, aged from birth to 10 years. Main activities was: work of families’ assistants, volunteers training, training groups for parents and measures for families with children. The results of the project: involved 4 professionals – families assistants, developed 1 program “Training for families assistants”, trained 9 volunteers – families assistants, 20 psychologist’s consultations for volunteers – families assistants, developed 1 methodological material for work organization of families assistants, provided 3 measures for families with children, training in groups received 31 parent, but family assistant’s service at home received 30 families, 3 supervisions for volunteers – families assistants, 20 team meetings for team participants, provided 2 publicity workshops. Project duration: 12 months
