Description
The day Care Center “Adatiņas” provides services to seniors and school-aged children. However, in Daugmale there are also a lot of families with children aged between 0 and 6, whose social activity opportunities are limited. The project aims to activate, inform and educate families with young children, exposed to social exclusion and poverty risks and to facilitate their integration in society and improve their quality of life. To achieve the aim the Association will organize consultations and practical lessons for children with parents (Bobot therapy, infant massage, activities in swimming pool) and educational lessons for parents ("green workshops", nutrition, labor law specialist consultations, budget planning consultations). Equipment necessary for the project activities will be purchased. The project will ensure availability of an innovative social package in Daugmale.
Summary of project results
The aim of the project „Life quality improvement for families with children in Daugava parish, Kekava District” was activation, information and education of families with small children in Daugmale parish subjected to social exclusion and poverty risk, in order to promote their integration in society and improve their quality of life. While implementing the project, the objective was reached fully - complex approach to the tackling of problematic issues of families with small children (0-6 years) subjected to social exclusion and poverty risk in Daugmale parish. Activation, informing and education of the direct target group of the project - at least 20 families with children, thus promoting their integration into society and improvement of life quality. As a result of the project, innovative complex of measures at Daugmale parish was implemented, which provided accessibility of various services to the project target group - consultations and activities for small children together with their parents (Bobot gymnastics, ergotherapist, infant massage, physical activities in the pool), educational classes for parents ("Green Workshops", consultations of nutrition specialist, employment law specialist advice, budget planning consultations, etc.). Project was aimed to create a place for gathering, education and information accessibility for families with small children (0-6 years) and involve at least 20 families with small children in appropriate activities - consultations and classes for young children together with their parents (Bobot gymnastics, ergotherapist, infant massage, physical activities in the pool), educational classes for parents ("Green Workshops", consultations of nutrition specialist, employment law specialist advice, budget planning consultations, etc.). Project results have been fully achieved.
