Description

The project objective is to prepare the textile and clothing industry for a gradual increase in the retirement age. A platform will be created to discuss and elaborate pension reform at the corporate level in cooperation with social partners. The expected result is a signed collective agreement in the textile and clothing industry on attitudes to pension reform. This will include the development of a model of pension reform application that is acceptable in an environment of textile and apparel companies and a timetable for the implementation of measures. It is expected that employees will benefit from this project. Partners of the project are the Trade Union of Textile, Clothing and Leather Industry (bipartite partner) and the Federation of Norwegian Industries. During the project, the Federation of Norwegian Industries will advise on the Norwegian experience with employing older people and on the implementation of social reforms in the textile and clothing industry, as well as participating in the final conference.
