Description

Our Association seeks to enforce the individual and collective interests of the Visually Impaired. Our mission is the individual as well as community development: strengthening the acceptance of, the altered physical state (sight loss), focusing on developing the individual’s physical and spiritual needs, mediation between the non-disabled and the Visually Impaired people through dialogue, involving the public.Visual Impairment today is not only social question anymore. Our campaign: to increase their social engagement.The Visually Impaired are becoming a catalyst in the process of diminishing the existing prejudices and discrimination against them, and changing the approach of the society. Actual project results:: The addressed public institutions, agencies, service providers will be given detailed information on the situation of equal opportunities for Visually Impaired People, through their own experiences in the frame on an awareness raising program. We shall summarize evaluate the problems identified during our camping (Phase 1) together, recording in a document. That dokument will be submitted to the decision-makers in harge, so that our recommendations for changes and possible solutions for accessibility, as well as the presentedgood practices shall be implemented. The public will be informed about our awareness campaign through the media indirectly, while the visitors of Phase 3 of our campaign can directly see the everyday life and difficulties of the target group.
