Description

Their aim is to make a public place for young people, where they can spend their time usefully, at the same time developing their knowledge in mathematics and reading.The long term abjective is to create house for young people in Galambok, with programs wich can help them with methods of non-formal learning to get into the labour market or schools. The direct target group is disadvantaged youngó people and their families in Galambok. The indirect target group is local community, inhabitants of Galambok. In the project they would like to organise the public life in Galambok with building a "community oven". They will organise meetings for baking bread every second week, and the participants and volunteers will gain knowledge and will get to know each other better. Impacts of the project are the following: knowledge of the young people will develop in the field of baking. The local community will become stronger, the prejudice against Roma people will decrease.

Summary of project results

The direct target groups are disadvantaged young people and their families in Galambok. The indirect target group is the local community of Galambok. In the project, the promoters managed to organise public life in Galambok by building a "community oven". They organised events to bake bread, and throught these events the participants and volunteers gained knowledge and got to know eachother better, which led to a stronger local community and a decrease in the prejudice against Roma people.
