"Organizing activities for the recent settlers, cooperating with the town’s original inhabitants, that can contribute to the reduction of exclusions. 8-10 families living in the outskirts are underprivileged, low-educated families with low income, living at unsatisfying board and lodging circumstances, having 2 or more children or permanently ill children. 8 families have been gaining useful skills (such as building, maintaning, heating and baker’s trade), and their life-circumstances are improving. As a result, the organization is becoming stronger, it’s connections are getting widen and more tight with the target group, for whom the organization is planning it’s next project. We are publishing the whole process of work on the foundation’s blog and photographic exhibitions,on social professional forums of the Regional Family Protection and Advisory Office."

Summary of project results

The recent settlers living in the farms of Kétsoprony have brought a unique style of living that is very different to the town’s original inhabitants. They are not aware of those self-preservation techniques that were typical of the boonies’ life style. The distance in beetween these groups is increasing. This project’s goal is for those ones living here for decades getting able to pass on their knowledge to the recent settlers that will enable them to use and live with the opportunities given by their surroundings. The effect of this process is that these groups come closer to each other through the common activity, toning down the exclusion and prejudice against each other. It can work exactly the way the yeast raises, leaven the dough: a slow change will start in the approach then it progressively expands The furnice construction camp were completed with the planned 12 people. After that they built their own family furnace. In the bread baking workshops they learned to bake bread.
