Description

Result of the survey of the UNICEF in Hungary (2014) shows that most of the children are not aware of their rights. Abuse, family violence, bullying etc. are taboo topics especially among disadvantaged children. Only prepared adults can help these children to exercise their rights effectively. The main objective of the project is to activate children and their pedagogies, to draw the attention of parents and local artists to the Rights of child and to strengthen cooperation between schools, parents, experts and local organizations. The project ensures the intellectual background and mentoring the pedagogies. Creative contests for children and other contests according to the Rights of child will be announced. Winning creations will be published in a children’s magazine titled ‘Szitakötő’. 25 workshops will be realized in different schools around the country. Participating pedagogies and mentors make lesson plans that will be summarized in an online database. New cooperation agreements are expected with civic and professional organizations. The target group includes children, pedagogies, parents and artists (about 1700 people).

Considering the experience and feedbacks of these workshops, the structure of the workshops was corrected and finalized; then in the second round 20 workshops were hold. Number of participants varied between 14 and 50, participants were children, parents, pedagogies, civils, colleagues of local governments and volunteers.
