Summary of project results

The targeted region characterized by poor economic and social indicators: poor families, bad state of environment; industrial fruit growing is dominant on the area. The people needed local environmental friendly methods to decrease the poverty. The project aimed to build a fruit processing workshop facility for local community. Due to this the project promoter established a fruit growing and fruit processing model system which helps to overcome local problems (rural poverty, bad health state of local people, deteriorated environment). As result of the project the fruit processing based on local species strated in 4 villages. Based on this regular fruticultural programs were organized for more than 50 local poor families (half of them Roma, mostly unemployed).
