Description

There is a need for collaboration of civil initiatives in Veszprém. The goal is to unite the civil cultural sector, create the Veszprém Civic Cultural Roundtable which objectives will be published in a free online magazine, called Portrait of Veszprém. The established cultural Roundtable will undertake its opinion over party policy. By the end of the project the org. will have 21 partners. During the project a short film of Veszprém-song is prepared. They convene the Veszprém Civic Cultural Roundtable to make survey on cultural needs, then the Roundtable prepare its program which will be presented in the online magazine, as well. The attendance of Veszprém Portrait: 15000 people. 20 organizations take part in the work of the Roundtable as supporter. Direct target group: cultural civil organizations, artists, performers in Veszprém or related to the town (about 300 people). Indirectly involved target group people interested in culture (ca. 6000 people).

Summary of project results

In Veszprém there are many NGOs engaged in culture, but they did not know any way to demonstrate their ideas. They wanted to establish Cultural Round Table of Veszprém, and they succeeded. They collected ideas and proposals in culture from the civil sphere in Veszprém, and made them public in Veszprém Portré cultural magazine. The openness and relationships of Cultural Round Table of Veszprém guarantee a long run operation. The Song of Veszprém and also the related video clip were created. They had forums and open talks with the public and prepared programs, that were published in Veszprém Portré. The beneficiaries were involved through their connections, personal contacts, and extensive presentation in the media, and in trade forums. NGOs had the opportunity to introduce themselves and present their ideas.
