The project has two main goals: to improve the quality of higher education and offer a wider variety of university programmes in the County of Šibenik–Knin and to make Šibenik into a green innovation and industry centre of the Adriatic. The project also aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Croatia and Norway in various fields of green innovation and green industry: aquaculture, environmental protection, and sustainable energy technologies. The main measurable outcome of the project will be a projected increase in the regional development index for the County of Šibenik–Knin from the current 80.9 % to 83 % (of the overall national average). The project has 6 specific objectives in the area of research, education and technological transfer, as explained within the project proposal. The City of Šibenik will be the most obvious beneficiary of the project as it will provide three avenues to achieve its goal to become the Centre of Green Innovation and Industries of the Adriatic Region.
