The project „Be fine online“ is needed because we are witnessing constant law and rights breaching, especially regarding children. As new technologies usage is rising, so does Internet which is most popular among children and youngster. Moreover, common targets of cyber criminals are often children e.g. such as children pornography, trafficking, cyber bullying and so on. Because of this, we need to learn our children how to properly use Internet and confront abusers. Our main aim of action is promoting and protection of human rights. Specific aims are to include children to activity think about human rights, inform and educate children about Internet violence and empower children for active asking. Expected results of this action is improved level of knowledge among children about human rights, improved level of skills and knowledge about safe usage of Internet, 30 children involved in city Beli Manastir, increased level of children inclusion in local community and 500 children informed about Internet violence through flyers.
Summary of project results
32 children were involved at the workshops, level of knowledge of children`s human rights is improved, skilful and safe use of the internet, the level of involvement of children in activities at the community level has been increased, about 500 children have been informed about violence on the internet through leaflets, informative articles and workshops. Children and youngsters are encouraged to combating hate speech based on difference in sexual orientation, nationality, religion and/or gender identity and to direct action if there is a threat to their rights from other people throught the internet.
