The organization was able to increase the number of corporate donors from two to six and submit five funding proposals for EU and state funds. The project also succeeded to increase the number of the organization’s volunteers from 30 to 78 and increase their engagement in the activities of Merimna, through the development of new written processes for their training and overall management. Another important result has been the improvement of the communication / and the strengthening of the partnership of the two partners, for increased effectiveness and transparency. This was achieved through the development of Rules of Operation and an Action Plan. The project finally succeeded in expanding Merimna’s network of partners in Greece and abroad, in order to improve the organization’s know- how and fundraising capacity. The increased funds, structured internal processes, better volunteered management and the development of strategic partnerships, will have a great impact on the organization’s quality and range of services towards families that are facing illness or loss of one of their members. The fact that the organization is the only one in Greece that specializes in the provision of psychological support to this target group, make the project especially important.
